The Hidden Heroes Campaign is the flagship public awareness campaign of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation bringing vital attention to the untold stories of military and veteran caregivers and seeking solutions for the tremendous challenges and long-term needs they face.

Hidden Helpers Coalition

Improving Outcomes for Caregiver Youth

The Hidden Helpers Coalition is a national alliance made up of public and private sector organizations seeking to uplift the voices of military and veteran caregiver children, teens, and young adults and enhance the services and support available to them.

Campaign for Inclusive Care

Improving the Care Ecosystem

The Campaign for Inclusive Care (CIC) is a strategic joint initiative between EDF and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to transform the culture of care at VA to be fully inclusive of caregivers from day one of the care journey.

Face the Fight  

Preventing Veteran Suicide

Face the Fight is a collaborative effort of corporations, foundations, nonprofits, and veteran-focused organizations charged with raising awareness and support for veteran suicide prevention, founded by USAA.  

Dole Caregiver Fellowship

Leadership

The Dole Caregiver Fellowship is an immersive multi-year leadership experience, focused on building community and support across all 50 states. There are over 290 Fellows representing what a caregiver looks like and helping others self-identify in the process. Dole Caregiver Fellows represent all eras, relationships, injuries, wounds, and illnesses.

Mental Wellness

Promoting Emotional & Mental Wellbeing

Launched in 2023 following two years of development, Mental Wellness at EDF provides military and veteran caregivers with safe, supportive, virtual spaces to connect with their peers through structured workshops and thematic care groups organized around shared life experiences.

Financial Wellness

Building & Sustaining Financial Strength & Economic Mobility

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation has teamed up with partners like the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation and The USAA Educational Foundation to create resources to empower caregivers on their financial wellness journey.
