Mental Wellness Book Club
Looking to learn about mental wellness, read great books, and build peer connection? We welcome you to join the Elizabeth Dole Foundation's Mental Wellness Book Club where each quarter we will dive into a new mental wellness focused book. The book club will meet four times over the course of 2 months and members will stay connected via weekly emails full of book-related questions, journal prompts, and wellness ideas. The Mental Wellness Book Club is facilitated by Rebecca Mullaney, the Foundation’s Mental Wellness Specialist, and is open to any military and veteran caregiver who is interested in investing in their mental wellness and connecting with other caregivers. Our book this month is When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times by Pema Chodron! Check out a Pema Chodron Podcast here. We will hold our first meeting on Thursday, February 20th. Participation is limited to 20 caregivers. We strongly encourage you to check your local library for a copy of the book, but if it’s not available we will mail you a copy. The meeting schedule is as follows: February 20, February 27, March 20, and March 27. All meetings take place from 4-5 pm ET. Meetings take place via Zoom (link to be provided after registration). Questions? Email Rebecca Mullaney at rebecca@elizabethdolefoundation.org.
