Marianne Delatorre serves as the Community Engagement Manager for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation leading the Hidden Heroes Cities and Counties Program and Hidden Heroes Online Caregiver Community (HHCC). She manages partnerships with cities, counties, and states to promote advocacy campaigns, coalitions, initiatives, and proclamations that support comprehensive caregiver support. Marianne is the liaison between the Foundation and thousands of military and veteran caregivers in the HHCC online community. Becoming a caregiver to her Navy veteran mother at age 11, Marianne is passionate about driving resources and empowerment to Hidden Heroes and their families. She is proud to oversee the Hidden Heroes Communities programs where she believes wholeheartedly in the power of inclusive communities to uplift caregivers.  

Proud to call San Diego (National City specifically) home, Marianne remains active as a co-chair of the San Diego Veterans Coalition’s Family Life Action Group and supporter of leadership programming for the local Asian-American community. In her past role, Marianne supported military community outreach for Southern Caregiver Resource Center in San Diego, CA. She holds a dual Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and Ethnic studies from the University of California, San Diego where her work focused on minority women veterans.
